NBA – Former NBA Commissioner David Stern passed away at the age of 77. Mr Stern was a lawyer/businessman who served as the NBA Commissioner from 1984 to 2014.  Stern was credited with increasing the popularity of the NBA in the 1990’s and 2000’s.  The year Mr. Stern became commissioner was also the year talent such as Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton entered the NBA. Former NBA stars have tweeted their condolences.
