MADDEN 18 REVIEW!

I was finally able to pick up my Madden 18 game after suffering through a whole day of work.  I could not wait to get off today and run to the store to pick up my reserved copy of the game.  After getting all my necessary items for the opening of the new Madden game I was finally able to unwrap and insert the game.  To let you know of my Madden history, I have purchased every game since the early 1990’s, I was an avid Madden follower.  As I got older, graduated from college and began my journey into the workforce my leisure time has become very much limited.  I still remember the days when my dorm mates would gather after class and play well into the morning hours playing the game.  As the years have passed, many of those individuals have moved into the workforce passed away and or moved away across the country.  Those were the good ole days, when there was not much to worry about except taking a pop quiz or passing midterms/finals.  Needless to say, I have also been engaged in working longer hours and not being able to indulge in great Madden competition.  I have to admit, the last several editions of Madden I have purchased but they just seemed to sit on my shelf of games, I just did not have time to play.  This year I have made a conscious effort to take time, to do something that I have enjoyed in the past.  Playing some Madden has become one of those things that I would like to get back into.  I can recall playing with friends to the early morning hours and telling my nephews at the time that they were not ready to compete in the circle of competition.  Last year I sat down several times and watched the same nephews compete on line and smash the competition.  I have to admit, I was intimidated and did not want to pick up the stick.  This year I have decided to pick up the stick and compete, (my ego I guess).  I just finished playing my first game of Madden and I must admit, this game is unbelievable, it is so smooth, fluid I guess.  I jumped right in and played the “New England Patriots, me as the Atlanta Falcons”.  I started off rough but quickly got into the groove.  I did loose the game, but only after going into overtime.  If you know anything about me I am a die hard Bears fan so playing with another team almost felt like cheating on my spouse.  In the past, in my opinion there has always been an advantage for one side of the ball, either the offenses were too strong or the defenses were obviously better.  In this years game it looks like it is very much based on the potential of the player.  I do have one complaint, and that is, it seemed as though the defensive backs could not intercept a pass thrown right at them.  It’s only the first game so I could be prejudging.  As always the graphics are great, about to start the new Story Mode and will report on that soon, for the time being, enjoy the game and if you are looking for friendly competition my tag is Mitsuninja, look me up!!! IT’S IN THE GAME!!
